We’re a new online resource for all things related to Off-Grid Living.
Well, the resources are non-existent for now. But this is a start. Below is a photo of the home for this new venture. As soon as we saw this property, we knew we’d found the location we’d been searching for. What we didn’t realize was just how serendipitous this location really is. That little house you see was once the editorial headquarters for Harrowsmith Magazine!
More importantly, this property gave us a great headstart toward our goals for an off-grid home and office. With a well, cistern, propane tank, geothermal heating, and a robust garden already thriving; we’re well on our way!
What’s to come?
By no means am I an expert in this. But I’m learning, and I invite you to join me on this journey towards greater self-reliance. For now, the plan is to document our experience and the lessons learned. I haven’t concerned myself with audience building or monetization. If that follows, so be it. We have a lot of plans for this property and I’m excited to share this journey with anyone who might be considering a similar shift in their life.

So much has happened in the last couple of months, that I’m struggling to decide what to include as part of this inaugural post! There’s a lot to tell you, from the preparations to the move itself, observations, and thinking that led us to this lifestyle shift, to the many new connections with like-minded individuals and entrepreneurs that have been initiated.
For now, I’ve got to do something about this old chicken coup, but it’s looking like I found someone on Facebook marketplace willing to haul it off my lawn. Seems like a fair trade 🙂
